Bio

Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, and Sociology at the 新加坡六合彩开奖. She earned her PhD in Criminal Justice from Temple 新加坡六合彩开奖 in 2023. She received her M.S. in Criminal Justice from West Chester 新加坡六合彩开奖 of Pennsylvania and her B.S. in Neuroscience and Psychology from Temple 新加坡六合彩开奖.

Teaching and Research Interests

Dr. Williams teaches criminal justice courses including Juvenile Justice, Victimology, White Collar Crime and American Corrections. She is also developing courses around race, gender, privacy and surveillance, and critical criminology to be taught in the future. Primarily a qualitative researcher who approaches her work from a critical perspective, Dr. Williams’s research interests include privacy and surveillance, social engineering, Black criminology and Black feminist criminology, social inequality, and “street smarts.”

Prior to joining the faculty at Scranton, Dr. Williams conducted research around adversarial decision-making, social engineering, and experiential learning in as a research assistant in the C.A.R.E. Lab at Temple 新加坡六合彩开奖 and has presented her work at numerous domestic and international conferences. Her primary goal as an educator is to make sure that her students understand how power, race, class, and gender converges and impacts policy and their daily lives.
